I love this idea. Students often don’t like proof reading, and when they do they often fail to see their own mistakes. They read what they think they’ve written by reading over mistakes.
What better way is there than have their text read to them. By hearing they are presented with their text on another channel which changes the perspective on the text.
You only need text to speech such as VozMe or software on your computer and a pair of headphones.
I’ll give it a try next time I have my students write texts on a PC.
