As the article mentions offers like this one have been in the portfolio of a number of European mobile carriers. Right now it’s mostly early adopters who use netbooks for everywhere online access. But I don’t think this trend is...

There is definitely something to this. First media heat up markets by stirring greed and then accelerate the downturn by spreading fear and panic. Media create a kind of climate that influences how people act and react.

New Screenshot of Jolicloud Netbook Operating... →
Definitely a step into the right direction. Netbooks don’t need full blown operating systems. What they need is an adapeted OS or one made especially for their specs. Developing an OS from scratch won’t make much sense these days because it’s a lot of work. And what’s more there are good operating systems. Android shows how adapting an OS to a net device can be done....

I think this is very true. Students have changed. Our schools should no longer be schools of the industrial age but schools of the information age.

Had looked for new information about the “web tablet” at the end of last year and found none. So I was wondering what had become of the project. And here they are back again with a prototype. I’m impressed. Let’s see whether they can pull it off and get this thing refined and ready for the market.

True enough there is a lot of buzz about the Pre. I think it is a very compelling device. But as this article points out there might be some caveats too. This doesn’t mean it’s a bad device but for some people it won’t be of interest unless Palm fixes a number of issues.

That’s great news. Now I die to know how much the Pre will cost.
This gadget made a hugh splash and from what I’ve seen the Pre will push the evolution of mobile web devices forward. It’s not as big a step as the iPhone but an important step nevertheless.
Why Twit looks like a possible future of TV
Leo Laport is the chief Twit.
1. He comes from a broadcasting background.
2. He keeps his operation nimble.
3. He focuses on a niche-market.
4. He has built an online community.
5. He actually knows something about the internet.
6. He’s his own man.

Looks promising. I use the H2 right now for recordings at concerts. What I like is the size and the quality of the recordings. The H2 is really fragile and wouldn’t survive a drop. So the H4n might be the audio recorder I’m looking for.
