iBook G3 12" replaced a broken harddisk →
I’ve just finished taking apart my old iBook G3 12” to replace the harddisk. After six years it didn’t work properly any more. It took me about an hour to follow the step by step guide to get to the HDD. After replacing it I followed the steps backwards and reassembled the iBook. Right now Tiger is installing. All looks fine. The operation was a full success I would say....

Today I listened to the latest Chaos Radio Express podcast which was on Free BSD a Unix operating system. I learned quite a lot. If I had more time I would really like to set up a Free BSD server. Of course I was also interested in this topic because it is related to OS X which is based on another BSD, called Darwin.

She is 88 now and had to wait for a long time to be finally awarded the Nobel Prize for literature. Doris Lessing is one of the really great authors of our time. The Nobel Prize is well deserved but should have been awarded many years earlier. I’ve read some shorter pieces and read one of her novels.
